Events:

The Barony usually has an event each month. Scheduled Baronial events are listed below, although dates are subject to change. Please contact the event stewards for details. E-mail links are only provided where permission has been obtained but inquiries submitted via the will be passed on to the appropriate person.

Note: As per Society and Baronial policy, all minors attending an event without their parent or legal guardian MUST have three copies of a notarized Medical Authorization Form to present at the gate or they will not be admitted. One copy is to be kept on the person of the minor, one is to be held by the designated caregiver who is in attendance with him/her, and the third is to be given to the gatekeeper. No unaccompanied minors will be admitted.

Per Caidan policy, all minors who do not have a BLUE membership card must also present a notarized Minor's Consent to Participate and Hold Harmless Agreement which has been signed by a parent or legal guardian before being admitted to the event. This form and the Medical Authorization must both be notarized in the home state of the minor.

Barony of Western Seas Annual Warbands Tournament

Sound the war horns, gather ye soldiers, and grab your weapons, the Knights of Western Seas once again bring you Western Seas Warbands Tournament. We invite all to come and enjoy a weekend of fierce fighting and blissful festivities.

 

The event will take place at Bellows Air Force Base. Site opens at 4:00 p.m. on Friday the 16th and closes at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday the 18th. Friday is for set up. Saturday will have various fighting scenarios.  Sunday is for recovery and clean up.

 

Directions: To Bellows AFS from Honolulu: Take H-1 Freeway going east to Pali Hwy exit number 21A. Go north on Pali Hwy (Hwy 61). Turn right onto Kalanianaole Hwy (Hwy 72). On the left side is Castle Medical Center. There is a green Waimanalo sign. It is approximately 4-miles to Bellows AFS. Bellows AFS is on the left side of the road and is marked by a brown sign with small palm trees next to it. If you get to McDonalds you've gone too far - turn around and come back and remember Bellows AFB will now be on your right.  Drive all the way through the civilian area until you reach the Military Gate Checkpoint.  Go through the checkpoint and continue down the road to Campsite G3 on the left hand side, past the mini golf course.

 

Important: As the event takes place on a military base, all vehicles (year, make, model and license plate number) and attendee names (valid ID required) must be on the registration list in order to pass through the gate.  Please be sure to contact Sir Kagetora with your information (see contact info below).

 

Site fee for the event is $20.00 for members (non-members add $3.00 surcharge). Those 12 years of age and younger are free. Please make checks payable to SCA, Inc. Barony of Western Seas.

The Valley Azure Spring Fling

May 15, 2010

The Canton of Valley Azure invites you come and celebrate spring, trade Warbands stories, and catch up with friends with the beautiful scenery of ~Giggle Hill~ as the backdrop.  It is rumored that the Valley Azure Spear Of Destiny has been unearthed and an Endurance Tourney will be held to determine its new caretaker.  Dinner will be a potluck so please bring a dish to share.

DEMOS   

If you would like to meet us at one of our public or school demos before joining us at a full fledged event, we will be appearing at the following dates and places. Some demos are not open to the general public.

Contact for more information about attending or scheduling a demo.

For demo requests, please contact us at least two months in advance. In order to do a quality presentation we need lead time to notify our members and make arrangements for participants and/or displays.
